3 Weddings, 1 Day: A Busy and Beautiful October Elopement Marathon at Stonegate Glass Chapel
October 24, 2024—what a date! There’s something about those cool numerical patterns that seem to attract weddings, and this day was no exception. I had the honor of photographing not just one, but three back-to-back elopements at Stonegate Glass Chapel, and let me tell you, it was a whirlwind of love, laughter, and beautiful fall colors.
First up was Kayla & Quentin, who brought along their wonderful family to celebrate. I loved that they came prepared with some specific ideas for their photos. They wanted a few key shots: one with the glass chapel as the perfect backdrop, and another featuring a dramatic dip right in front of the chapel. They absolutely nailed both poses, and it was so fun to bring their vision to life!
Next, Kourtney & Parker arrived with their two adorable boys and a handful of friends and family members. Those boys were so full of personality, and it was easy to see how loved they are by everyone around them. The ceremony felt like a celebration of not just Kourtney and Parker's love but their entire little family unit. The boys were hamming it up in front of the camera, and I couldn't stop smiling behind the lens. Watching everyone laugh, cry, and celebrate together was such a beautiful reminder of why I love what I do.
Finally, Natalie & Scott arrived for a super intimate, super secret elopement—just the two of them. They were planning to share the news with their families the next day via a surprise text blast! There’s something so special about these kinds of elopements, where it’s just the couple focusing completely on each other. It’s a different kind of intimacy, and I loved being in on their sweet secret, capturing the joy and excitement they couldn’t wait to share with their loved ones.
The fall colors were at their peak, providing the most stunning backdrop for each ceremony. The lighting? Chef's kiss!—absolutely perfect. Golden hour seemed to last all day, and each couple’s photos were bathed in that warm autumn glow that I just can’t get enough of.
By the end of the day, I was exhausted—but in the best way possible. Being part of not just one, but three beautiful elopements was such a privilege. Each couple’s story was unique, and being able to witness and capture all the love, joy, and family moments from the day was truly something special.
What a whirlwind, but what a wonderful day!
